Anuj Rastogi represents a new generation of composers and musicians who balance the nuances of many cultures at once in their music. As a multi-instrumentalist, Anuj’s musical curiousity has taken him on a journey of several years through jazz tuba and saxophone, to piano, tabla, and electronic production. Having grown up at the nexus of two different cultures, Anuj brings a musical sensitivity forward that is as much a product of his intuition as his environment.

Anuj has worked with many artists who are leading the modern movement of sound, including Tabla and Vocal phenomena, Cassius Khan, Soul and Hindi vocalist Falitaa Chhabra, Soul vocalist Sandra Chibuluzo, and songwriter Nadia Syed. Anuj is also an active event producer, having produced several concerts, and multimedia events. In particular, he excels in bringing together very diverse audiences in the interest of music that bridges cultural and social boundaries. Anuj’s debut album “Omnesia” has already heralded acclaim in the UK, Canada, and the USA.

Anuj notes a number of key individuals among his major musical influences, which helps shed light into his own unique sound. Notable individuals who have influenced Anuj’s music include A R Rahman, Nitin Sawhney, PM Dawn, Ustad Zakir Hussain, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Peter Gabriel, Public Enemy, Dave Mathews, Shakti, Miles Davis, Talvin Singh, and Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
